Summer Intensive

Our New Summer Intensive Program is a Two week program geared towards conditioning and teaching our Advanced skilled youth students passionate and dedicated to circus arts. They will learn a variety of circus skills on a more vigorous training regimen to improve and focus their skills over the short two week period and teach them important skills around performance, team work, and healthy training. The two weeks will end with a showcase performance where the students will exhibit new and improved skills they have learned. This program is designed to build stronger performance and training skills the students can use to further their own individual circus training goals. This program will include workshops with well seasoned circus professionals.

Camp Session Dates

This is a Single, Two week session program

Dates: July 15-19 & July 22-26

Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm    Monday – Friday


Camp Information:

Any personal items campers choose to bring to camp are the campers responsibility. We do have a lost and found box, but we will not replace or reimburse for any lost or stolen personal items at camp

Please make sure your child wears comfortable clothing suitable for exercise and movement. We recommend outfits that consist of dance/gymnastics leotards or unitards paired with athletic shorts & stirrup or footless tights, or leggings. Or and outfit of a formfitting athletic shirt/ tank top and formfitting athletic shorts or tights. Big/ loose clothes do not work well for circus arts. Dance slippers are acceptable if your child wishes to not be barefoot while inside the gym but grippy or yoga socks are needed for doing trampoline if the wish to not do it barefooted.

Campers are allowed up to two make-up days since we only have a single session for this intensive this makeup day will have to fall within the following regular Circus camp Session 2, please call to inform us of sickness or absences before 9:15 am on the day of absence.

Behavior at camp

We have several rules at camp we have in place to ensure a fun and safe space for everyone at camp. We go over all these rules on the first day of camp to ensure they are clear to our campers. Being that kids will be kids, these rules are not always followed to a T but our instructors work hard to enforce them. Being said, we are implementing a new 3 strike rule for campers, we try to meet the needs of all of our participants but if in the event that behavior becomes intentionally either consistently: disruptive, dangerous to self, or dangerous to others; a behavior report will be made for each incident detailing the circumstances and severity, once two behavior reports are made a call to parents will go out, if there is no change in behavior afterwards and a third behavior report is made, an in-person discussion will be had with parent/guardians and in the rare event we will reserve the right to ban a camper from camp/MSA activities for a period we deem fit to the severity of the incidents

Before & After Care

Before & After care is available this year for an additional $5 per child, per half hour of time before 9 am and after 3 pm, parents will be automatically charged this same price as a late/early fee for pickup and drop-off. Before & After care is NOT viewed as an open gym time, kids are free to stretch condition, relax or play games during this time equipment is off limits as to the discretion of the staff. If you plan on using before and after care please inform us a minimum of 24 hours in advance, if you plan on using Before & After care daily you can make out payments at the beginning of each week or session as needed.

Bring the following items to camp everyday:

  • Refillable Water Bottle
  • A snack: we suggest a fruit or protein based snack
  • Lunch: make sure to include necessary utensils if needed, and a reusable cold pack (we cannot refrigerate the lunches), we do have a microwave available but pack food in a microwavable container if it needs to be heated. We will e-mail all parents on any food allergy based lunch restrictions if we have campers with sever allergies, we want to make camp safe as possible for all
  • Extra pair of yoga pants/leggings: to change into to prevent fabric burns on aerial silks
  • Hair Ties/ headbands: hair needs to be tied back while doing aerials acro or tumbling, tieing back the hair will also help prevent overheating: we recommend braiding or putting hair up in a bun before camp so that it doesn’t have to be continuously re-tied through-out the day.
  • Glasses case (if child wears glasses): to prevent loss/breaks, as glasses can’t be worn on aerials/while stunting
  • Close toed athletic shoes: we will do jogs around the block some days for our morning conditioning
  •  Sunscreen: prevent sunburn when outside
  • Foam roller: to avoid muscle soreness they are going to need to bring their own foam roller to use at closing stretches

10:00 – 10:15 am Snack & water Break
10:15 – 12:00 noon Morning Classes: 1) Aerials class (trapeze, silks, hoop, rope/spanish web)   2)Balancing Arts (Hand-balancing, Roll-a-bola, tight-wire, stilts, and Unicycle)
12:00 – 12:30 pm Lunch
12:30 – 2:15 pm


2:15 – 2:30/45 pm

Afternoon Classes: 1) Object manipulation (hoola-hoop, Juggling, poi, juggling sticks, diablo),      2)Acro/Tumbling Class (Trampoline, Floor Tumbling, group acrobatics, partner acro)

Closing stretches

Pick up is promptly at 3:00pm every day

Student Showcase Shows

There will be a camp showcase on the last day of the session of camp from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm (call time for campers is 6:00 pm)  Parents and family are invited – bring your cameras!


Early Bird: January 1st, 2019 -0 April 15th, 2019     $580

Regular:  April 15th, 2019 – July 15th, 2019       $630

Camp registration includes cost of t-shirt

We DO NOT offer this camp as a single week choice, and camp fees are non-refundable and due by the first day of camp, those who pay camp fees before the start of camp will have their child’s spot reserved
